“Golden” By Kai Stänicke

I’m sure at one point or another, anyone reading this will understand what it’s like to be different, to not fit in. (If not, then kudo’s to you for never experiencing the pain of standing out.)

This German filmmaker, Kai Stänicke, shared a moving short film that provides an uplifting message to anyone who never felt accepted.

Stänicke’s short film called “Golden,” won the OUTtv Audience Award at Holebifilmfestival Vlaams-Brabant and Best Short at the Florence Queer Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Short at Arouca Film Festival in Portugal.

Meryl Streep Does a Better Trump then Trump.

Meryl Streep painted herself orange and gave her best Donald Trump impression at the Public Theater’s 2016 Gala in New York’s Central Park.

This year’s theme was “The United States of Shakespeare,” and Streep knocked it out of the park with a parody of Cole Porter’s “Brush Up Your Shakespeare” with Christine Baranski for the Public Theater’s 2016 Gala.

Hundreds Of Shirtless, Oiled-Up Naval Plebes Climb This

Over 500 Naval Academy plebes participated in the annual Herndon Climb, an event that marks the end of plebe year for midshipmen.

The Class of 2019 must utilize everything they’ve learned about teamwork, forming a human pyramid to scrape away at the lard covering the 21-foot monument, remove a “Dixie cup” hat from the top of the structure and replace it with an upperclassman’s hat.

“It was amazing,” said Midshipman Josh Dinardo. “It sucked to be at the bottom, but it’s an incredible feeling.”

“The best part was being all together. Class unity,” said Midshipman Hailey Burns, of Newtown, Pennsylvania. “The worst part was being pushed.”
